An estimated 37.3 million people visited “Sin City” last year. Why? Well, it’s Vegas baby! And there’s no place like it anywhere else in the world. Think about it - where else can you get married by Elvis, bungee jump from a 1000 ft hotel, stroke a lion cub, drink 99 cents margaritas and lounge by the pool all in one morning? Still not sure if a trip to Las Vegas is for you? Let’s spin the wheel and see what happens…
Everyone should experience la vida loca at least once and with our sizzling hot deals to Las Vegas you have no excuse.
Everything you’ve heard about Las Vegas is true - the opulent hotels, the twenty-four hour casinos, the luxury spas, the stunning golf courses, the exquisite shopping and irrepressible nightlife, it’s all there - and it’s all for the taking. Here are some choice items to add to your bucket list.
Must-see sights include
The Grand Canyon, the Hoover Dam, City Centre at night, the Venetian, the dancing fountain at The Bellagio, Caesar’s Palace, The Wynn hotel, and the Eiffel Tower at the Paris, Las Vegas.
Must do
Take a helicopter ride across the Grand Canyon and enjoy a Champagne breakfast on the canyon floor. The view from the front seat is incredible and it’s impossible not to be impressed as you fly over the twinkling waters of Lake Mead, past the Hoover Dam and up, higher and higher over the rim of the canyon until you reach the breathtaking drop-off. With a flight over the Strip set to the soundtrack of Top Gun included, it’s worth every penny.
Reinvent yourself and become a dolphin trainer for the day at Siegfried and Roy’s Secret Garden and Dolphin Habitat at the Mirage. At around $700 it’s pricey, but when else will you get to feed and play with bottlenose dolphins? Alternatively, visit the Lion Habitat at the MGM Grand for $20 photo with a lion cub then take the monorail to Mandalay Bay and see the amazing underwater walkway at Shark Reef.
Adopt a do-or-die attitude when it comes to fun because in Vegas, the sky is the limit – literally. Take the lift to the top of Stratosphere where you can be catapulted to1081ft on the Big Shot ride or bungee jump from the 108th floor at the SkyJump. If you really want to up the ante, try skydiving in the desert...Don’t forget to smile for the camera!
Hire a limo for the night and hit the hotspots; see a glitzy show and party until dawn. With the choice of entertainment ranging from topless cabaret to the wholesome family fun of musical theater you can’t go wrong. The Strip also has plenty of exclusive nightclubs, sophisticated lounges and cocktail bars.
Give in to tradition and get hitched or renew your vows at the Little White Wedding Chapel’s drive-through window in the Tunnel of Love. Absent loved-ones can tune in via the webcam and watch as you sit in a pink Cadillac, are serenaded by Elvis and exchange your vows.
Finally, head downtown to the Freemont Street Experience and a roll the dice at the 100-year-old Golden Gate Casino and Hotel. There are much better odds of winning downtown than in the mega casinos on the Strip so you have more chance of hearing the wonderful sound of kerching!
