I met a colleague for a business lunch the other day at a cafe near Brighton station. He arrived with a red face and explained that his coat was too thick for a day that was turning out to be quite warm, and now he was really hot.
This time last year it was freezing and we had fires on all the time, this year everyone is talking about how warm the weather has been.
In Brighton where I live, the last few weeks have been really really mild, it feels more like spring than winter. 11 degrees in January, is more usual for April.
