About the Poppy Lottery

Entrants by law must be aged 16 or over.
We will send confirmation of your unique lottery number(s) in the post within 2 weeks of receiving your entry form. Your confirmation letter will also contain the date of the first draw in which you are entered and the dates of the Quarterly Super Draws taking place during the next 12 months.
Your number(s) will automatically be entered into the Super Draws, but you will also have the chance to buy additional entries for these special draws. We will write to give you this opportunity or alternatively you can call the Poppy Lottery helpline on 01524 752 904.
The weekly prizes are 1st Prize £2000, 2nd Prize £250, 3rd Prize £150, 4th Prize £100, 5th Prize £50 plus 95 runner up prizes of £10.
The details of the next 4 Super Draws are as follows:
  • 16 December 2011, 1st prize £15,000, plus a Christmas Hamper worth £1,000
  • 16 March 2012, 1st prize £15,000
  • 15 June 2012, 1st prize £25,000
  • 14 September 2012, 1st prize £15,000

If you have won a prize, we will automatically send a cheque to you in the post.
The proceeds from the Draw help to fund the Legion's many welfare services which include:
  • New Army Recovery Centres for the recent war wounded
  • Our 6 Poppy Homes
  • Our 4 Poppy Break Centres
  • Providing additional mobility aids for housebound veterans
  • Expertise to assist with pension claims and disability entitlements
  • Essential home repairs for the elderly
  • Advice and support with resettlement, learning and work
