We want to see what inspires you, what your passions are, how you express yourself. This contest is for you, about you, celebrating your self-expression. We're asking students across every discipline to take our breath away, to leave us stunned.
There are 3 chances to win £10,000 and 18 chances to win £550.


Imagination Challenge FAQ's


1. How old do I have to be to enter?
You must be 15 years of age or older. If you are a minor, a parent or legal guardian will need to accept and verify your entry.
2. Do I need to be a student to participate?
Yes, in order to participate you must be a full- or part-time student enrolled at an accredited school, college, university or institute of secondary education in Great Britain.
3. Where do I need to live to enter?
You must reside in Great Britain at the time of entry.
4. What do I need to do to enter?
Submit one original creative piece that shows self-expression using an Adobe product or combination of Adobe products from Adobe® Creative Suite® 5.5 software.
Along with the creative piece include in 100 words or less, a statement indicating why the Creative Piece submitted shows self-expression AND in a 100 words or less a statement indicating why you chose the Adobe product(s) used to create the submitted piece.
5. I don’t have Adobe® Creative Suite 5.5 Student and Teach edition. How do I get it?

7. If I want to submit a Video what requirements and formats do I need to follow?
Your entry should be no longer than five (5) minutes in length as only the first five (5) minutes will be judged. They must be no larger than 1024 megabytes (1GB) in size and in 3GP, AVI, MOV, MP4, MPEG, FLV, F4V, SWF, or MKV format.
8. If I want to submit an image what requirements and formats do I need to follow?
Your entry must be in digital format. All digital files must be 10 megabytes or smaller and must be in JPEG, PNG, GIF, or PDF format.
9. If I want to submit a website/game design/application what requirements and formats do I need to follow?
The URL content must remain constant and unchanged until December 1, 2011. Emulation or demo of experience must be entered in a format compatible with Adobe Flash® Player, JPEGs, or screenshots in PDF format. Entries of lesser quality will not be considered.
10. Can my Creative Piece include brand names or logos?
No, the Creative Piece cannot display any trademarked, copyrighted, previously published material or proprietary brand names, logos, images, or objects except Adobe brands.
11. What will disqualify my piece?
Any creative piece that defames or invade the rights or privacy of any person, living or deceased, or otherwise infringe upon any third party’s personal, proprietary, or intellectual rights will be disqualified. Entries that contain any type of vulgarity or objectionable content will also be disqualified. Entries that (in the judges' or Adobe's sole discretion) may technically meet the stated criteria but do not reflect the intent and spirit of the provisions related to participation, are not eligible.
12. Can l include other individuals in my entry?
No, the creative piece submitted for the Contest should not include any individuals other than the entrant.
13. How do I enter?
Enter online at students-adobe.com by completing the Official Online Entry Form.
14. Can I edit my entry after I have submitted it?
You can edit your entry until the entry period you originally submitted your piece closes.
15. How do I edit my entry?
To edit your entry, go to students-adobe.com and enter your username and password to access your profile. Your entry will be listed on your profile page. Click edit and resubmit.
16. What are the entry periods?
Entry Period 1: 9/4/11 - 9/17/11
Entry Period 2: 9/18/11 - 10/1/11
17. How many entries can I submit?
You can submit one (1) entry per entry period, for total of (2) entries.
18. How will my entry be judged?
Odds of winning will depend on the number and quality of entries received. Entries will be screened and judged for contest rules compliance by representatives of Adobe. Judges will select up to (20) semi-finalist from among the eligible entries during each entry period. Those (20) semi-finalist will then be sent to the Thought Leaders to select the top (10) finalists. Those (10) finalist will then be placed in the finalist gallery on the Imagination Challenge website for online voting.
19. How will I know if I am a semi-finalist?
You will be notified via phone or by the email you provided in the registration process.
20. How will I know if I have a top (10) finalist?
You will be notified via phone or the email you provided in the registration process.
21. What should I do if I am a finalist?
You should get the word out! Share your submission out to your social network and have as many of your friends and family visit students-adobe.com and register to vote! Each person can vote once daily for a chance to win a £50 gift card.
22. How will I know if I am a winner?
The finalist with the most votes will win that specific entry period and will be notified via phone or email.
23. How many chances do I have to win?
There will be 3 total chances to win, two chances for each entry period and one chance in the student choice period.
24. What is the Student Choice period?
Beginning October 23rd all eligible entries received for entry periods 1-2 will be eligible for the student choice award.
25. What is the Student Choice award?
The entry with the most votes between October 23rd and November 5th will win the final prize of £10,000. So make sure to get all of your friends and family to vote!
26. What do I win if I am a finalist?
You will win a £550 Visa gift card.
27. What do I win if I am the winner?
You will win a £10,000 awarded in the form of a corporate check.
28. How do I get votes?
You can share out to your social network to encourage people to vote. Tell everyone you know to go to students-adobe.com and vote on your submission.
29. I don’t want to enter but I still want to vote.
You can still register on the students-adobe.com site and vote on all the submissions. If you want to be entered into the daily sweepstake for a chance to win a £50 gift card just accept the rules and you will automatically be entered in once every day.
